Very good food Big portions Need to go there hungry
Don't be scurried. Looks a tad bit questionable on the outside. Could use a lil decorating love on the inside, but neat, clean and hands down THEE BEST POBOY I've had since relocating herr a couple yrs ago. Saw their oyster poboy on social media this morning and knew I needed it in my life. Got the half and half with Shrimp dressed and it did NOT disappoint. So good😋
A true New Orleans experience!! Delicious oysters, shrimp, catfish poboys on real New Orleans french bread, plus delightful onion rings and fried green tomatoes. Oh my, what a treat!! On top of that, unusual kind and friendly owners/ servers! A real New Orleans treasure for sure. An excellent way to end our New Orleans vacay.
This is definitely a hole in the wall but the food was very good, especially the oyster poboy. My brother's roast beef was slice a little thicker than we like it but was fresh and hot. Prices were very reasonable.
Tucked away in New Orleans' heart, Parentons Poboys is a neighborhood gem serving soul-satisfying sandwiches since 1946. This family-run restaurant is a living piece of NOLA history, offering traditional po'boys with fresh-baked French bread and welcoming service. As a spot where locals gather, taste and tradition still matter. With nearly eight decades of history, Parenton's has stayed true to its roots, providing authenticity that's increasingly rare. It's a reminder of why these traditions matter, making every bite a cherished experience. The 6" roast beef on seeded bread is my go to sandwich here.
Adorable family run restaurant. Delicious onion rings. Fried to perfection. Country fried steak poboy was top notch. Oysters were fried perfectly. Will be back!
I was craving a shrimp poboy today. I had been looking at this place for a while and finally decided to give it a try today... It's located in a cozy little neighborhood not far from the main highway. If I lived there, I'd probably be there quite a bit! Lol. It's a cute little mom and pop joint with very nice people, pretty cool decor, and a pretty chill atmosphere. I got the six inch shrimp poboy. It was a pretty decent size that actually filled me up. The bread was fresh and had the perfect crunch. The shrimp were seasoned well, and all the toppings were fresh! If you're in the area, I'd definitely give them a try!!
This is the first time I've eaten at this great little neighborhood restaurant. Brenda & Dennis are the owners and prepare everything to order. The Shrimp Po Boy was one of the best I've ever had! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the french bread was exactly how I like it, crunchy outside and soft in the middle. I will definitely be back to try the renowned oysters! Prices are very reasonable too.
